Teen Shop Opens!!

Children of Promise opened its new Teen Shop on April 5th, 2009. The rooms are
decorated in bright, cheery colors and filled with beautiful new clothing. Middle schools and high schools now have a place to send teens who cannot afford clothing, shoes, school supplies and sports equipment.  Teens can now  feel good about themselves as they shop for new clothes in a boutique-like setting.  Many of the youth served have not been able to afford new clothes in quite some time.

Thank you to the following groups who made this opening possible:

Girls Room- Cheyenne Mountain Newcomers Club
Boys Room- Stein Mart Department Store
Sports Room-Nichole Reiff, Volunteer
Formal Wear Room- Woodmen Valley Chapel
School Supply Room-Children of Promise
Conference Room- Kelly Muse, State Farm Agen

 Thank You
Pi Beta Phi

Pi Beta Phi donated over 200 formal dresses to the Teen Shop formal wear room. Young ladies in El Paso County can now select  from over 1,000 dresses to rent for a nominal fee of only $20. The fee covers the cost of dry cleaning and repairs.Thank you also to Pi Beta Phi for volunteering their weeknends and evenings to work in the Teen Shop. Volunteers helped Prom goers pick out the perfect dress.
